Our Story
Our journey together has been special. What began as a shared passion for music has grown into a business built on partnership, purpose, and love.
We met in 2022, in ASPIRE… which is a Catholic Schools Production bring singing, dance, music and drama into one. We met in the band, where Molly played piano and Sammy played bass.
We began dating in late 2023, where we have been inseparable ever since.
We have our passion for music and have collided it into a dream.
Sam is 1/2 of The Practice Room, teaching Guitar, Bass, Drums, Ukulele, and Music Production. He has been learning music for 10 years, practicing day in-day out. His passion began with guitar and gained his understanding of his love for music, and went straight into his main instrument being Bass. Sam is a soul and funk styled musician who enjoys listening to jazz fusion, neo-soul and funk.
Sam is a full time university student at Newcastle studying a Bachelor of Music to gain his Masters of Secondary Teaching.
Sam’s full-time job currently is a youth support worker, where Sam provides the care and comfort for young children.
He performed as a mentor in StarStruck in 2025, which is an excellent reoccurring opportunity. He has also performed in the band in Kinky Boots the Musical with Chookas Entertainment at Civic Theatre alongside Molly.
Meet Sam!
Molly is the other half of The Practice Room, teaching piano, singing, and music theory. She has been learning piano since she was 4 years old. Her passion started with Suzuki (Japanese style based teaching), and continued into Classical, and then found her love of Jazz and Soul. She loves to listen to her favourite artists such as Yebba, Daniel Caesar, Hiatus Kaiyote and Olivia Dean. These musicians have formed her understanding and love for jazz and soul.
Throughout her music journey, she had completed Suzuki performances at Nursing Homes for entertainment from ages 4-7. When she moved onto classical, she completed her Grades 2 & 3 with Honours. After her time with Classical, she forwarded onto Jazz where she fell in love. From that, she gained more knowledge and feel with music.
Molly is currently in University to graduate with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy.
